China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park is an internationally competitive high-tech industrial park and a modern garden-like township beside the Jinji Lake. Its focus is to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship, and to attract high-tech industries, especially software-focused information technology and biological technology industries.
The China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park is the largest economic and technological cooperation project between the China and Singapore Governments. The China-Singapore cooperation area covers 8,000 hectares out of the Suzhou Industrial Park’s total jurisdiction area of 28,800 hectares.
The majority shareholders of the project include the China Consortium (52%) and the Singapore Consortium (28%), the latter of which Sembcorp holds 8.34% share.
